How an Airport Hotel is a Blessing in San Francisco

It’s interesting how travel experiences can change from year to year. There are many factors that can influence the way we travel, such as personal circumstances, budget, and destination. For example, you may have traveled with a group of friends one year and then solo the next. Or you may have visited a beach destination one year and then a city the next. For me, now I’m at the point in life where travel experience turns out to not only personal enjoyment but overlapping between MICE/Work travel and leisure travel as ‘Travel is my business’ literally and metaphorically – and I can’t leave that city without exploring something new in that destination. How have your travel experiences changed for you over the years? Email us. Well, as I combine business and pleasure by taking time to explore the destination I am visiting for work, — I prefer to choose a specific type of accommodation or hotel options based on the primary purpose of the trip, and — where I found that Airport hotels are a blessing to have a convenient stay without worrying about that last-mile commute, rent a car or ride the bus. Many people think Airport hotels have more like ‘corporate style buildings or interiors’; however, they can be for various purposes, such as vacation, adventure, or relaxation. It is usually planned and booked by individuals or families, too. Yes, so airport hotels can be very convenient for travelers who have late flights or who need to stay near the airport for an early flight the next day. They can also be a good option for travelers who want to rest and relax before continuing their journey. Many airport hotels offer shuttle service to and from the airport, making it easy for travelers to get to and from the terminal. When you’re traveling and arrive at your destination late at night, the last thing you want to do is search for a hotel room. That’s where airport hotels come in – they provide a convenient and comfortable place to rest, and some hotels are right at the airport. Whether you have a late flight or an early one the next day, these hotels are a blessing for travelers looking for a stress-free trip or arrival.” I booked an Aloft San Francisco Airport – a Marriott Hotel in Milbrie, Bay area, for my San Francisco trip. The Aloft San Francisco Airport is a hotel located in the city of Millbrae, California, near the San Francisco International Airport. It offers a convenient location for travelers who are flying in or out of San Francisco and need a place to stay. The hotel offers a variety of amenities, including a fitness center, a bar, and a 24-hour front desk. It is also located near several restaurants and shops. This Marriott Hotel in Milbrae is a full-service hotel that offers a variety of amenities, including a fitness center, a restaurant, and a business center. It is a popular choice for travelers who are looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay while in the Bay Area. This hotel is located in close proximity to the San Francisco International Airport, making them convenient options for travelers who need to catch a flight or who have just arrived in the city. They offer a range of amenities and services to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I made a reservation at a hotel and used a combination of points and cash to pay for my room through the Marriott Bonvoy account. My room was on a high floor with mountains, trees, and airport views – if the view matters to you. The points + cash option allows you to redeem a certain number of Marriott Bonvoy points for part of your hotel stay and pay for the remaining balance with cash. This can be a good option if you don’t have enough points to redeem for your entire stay or if you want to stretch your points further. To ensure that your reservation is correctly recorded and to confirm the details of your stay, it is always a good idea to check with the hotel directly prior to arrival. You can do this by calling the hotel’s front desk or by contacting them through the Marriott Bonvoy website or app. This way, you can confirm that your reservation is in place and that your room assignment is correct. I was a bit concerned about using public transportation in San Francisco and was looking for ways to minimize costs while still getting around safely. The conference and a few places that I was visiting were in the Bay area, and the only option was using the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) system, which can be a cost-effective way to travel around the city. However, I still needed to take a car ride for the “last mile” of my commute. Now, let’s talk about undertaking Leisure Travel. When planning a trip as a business traveler or corporate traveler, there are a few things to consider to make sure you have a successful and enjoyable experience: Determine your budget: Wheater your company is covering your expense or incurring expenses from your business account, having a clear understanding of how much you are able to spend will help you narrow down your options and find the best value. Decide on a destination: Think about what type of experience you are looking for and choose a destination that aligns with your interests and preferences. Research and book your travel arrangements: Once you have a destination in mind, research your transportation and accommodation options and book your travel arrangements. Plan your activities: Consider what you would like to do and see during your trip and make any necessary reservations or arrangements in advance. Pack wisely: Make a packing list and only bring what you need to minimize hassle and keep your luggage light.I hope these tips are helpful for your leisure travel planning! Here are a few places

Recently, my back-home friends and relatives moved to Toronto (outside of the GTA) and wanted to explore the immensely beautiful downtown area. Learning about their curiosity, I decided to write this post and came up with the 12 best places to stop and hang out on West Queen West. I am familiar with many of these spots and often revisit when I’m back in this neighborhood. West Queen West West Queen West is one of Toronto’s remaining authentic neighborhoods, with tons of character and charm. When I used to live in this eclectic neighborhood, I fell in love it with it, so I always make time to return when I’m back in Toronto. Perfect for both business and budget travelers looking for a quiet space in one of Toronto’s “hottest” neighborhoods chock full of restaurants and cafés. Vogue Magazine voted this the best neighborhood in the world for its eclectic shops and spacious and unique patios overlooking the city skyline. You’re also just a few minutes walks to the city’s trendiest shopping, galleries, dining, and nightlife. If you’re coming from West GTA, take the Gardiner expressway, you can make a stop at Sunnyside park and the beach on Lake Shore West. From here, you will get the first glimpse of Queen West as you cross Roncesvalles avenue into Parkdale. This street runs all the way to the Eaton Centre Mall at Younge street, so there’s quite a lot to take in. This route will allow you to enjoy the best of both worlds, starting with the beach park with nature paths and water adventures such as kayaking while also taking you past the high park and into the heart of the neighborhood with its relaxed vibe and urban setting. Save some notes on transit, transportation, and parking: Transportation: on-site private parking is available on the street.Transit Notes:Lansdowne Bus (North/South) short ride to Lansdowne Subway Station/ GO Station and the UP Express (or 5-minute taxi/uber to UP Express)Quick Car access to Gardiner Expressway and other major HighwaysTransit and exceptional walkability to neighbourhoods like Roncesvalles, College West, Dundas West, Queen West, and Parkdale.Bike-Share Toronto and TTC are just steps away wherever you live on West Queen West.Bike Share Toronto offers 24/7 convenient access to 7,185 bikes and 630 stations across the city. Download the app, grab a bike and ride! To make life easier, I’ve included 12 ‘stops’ that are worth visiting across the entire stretch of Queen West, regardless of what you’re interested in. 1. Dosa Mahal Whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or not, you’ll enjoy eating at Dosa Mahal Place. Their Queen location focuses on fresh ingredients with authentic flavors, and some inspired dishes include Steamed Rice and Lentil Patty, chickpea flour pakora, and spinach lentil soups. They’ve got some unique vegan and gluten-free dishes, like eggplant tomato curry, and special personal meals for groups of five or more. Their spot is on Roncesvalles/Queen, is easy to access, and is Instagrammable if you’re searching for Instagram-worthy restaurants to eat at! Dosa Mahal, 9 Roncesvalles Ave, Toronto, ON M6R 2K2, (647) 341-8553 2. Paddler, Boat Noodles in Parkdale The intersection at Queen and Landsdowne is residential, with decent rental units if you are on a budget and want to stay close the action. Paddler Thai Boat Noodles in Parkdale is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto, and their restaurant has been a fave of ex-pats for years! They are located in the Parkdale neighborhood on Queen West, where you can enjoy everything from their Khao Tom to Green Curry. While their menu is delicious and has a wide variety of items, their boat dry noodles are the best. You can also mix it up with curries, desserts, and a few sides as well. Paddler Thai, 1710 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6R 1B3, (416) 672-0311 3. Vegan Danish Café on Queen If you stay in Parkdale or near Lansdowne, this Vegan Danish Café is worth checking out. It’s one of my go-to spots to eat in Toronto. They have created a unique menu and a cozy atmosphere, so get a table for two and settle into this small café. Also known for its delicious vegan eats and Christmas blend hot cocoa, the portions are decent here, even though it’s a little pricey. Vegan Danish, 1312 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6K 1L4, (647) 352-1312 4. The Darek Hotel and Café – Small Boutique Hotel There’s only one 3-star boutique hotel on Queen west, The Drake Hotel. While there is another boutique hotel, the Gladstone, down the street, it’s more of a dated building than a modern contemporary space. Even if you’re staying at a rental or a different hotel, The Drake warrants a visit for an afternoon coffee or supper at the Darek café and bar & restaurant. Everything on their food menu is also in an affordable price range, including their mushroom pappardelle and Drake burger. Their drink menu is massive, with plenty of cocktail options, though it is a bit pricy (which balances out with plenty of food options). The Drake Hotel, 1150 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1J3, (416) 531-5042 5. Mabel’s Bakery Mabel’s is one of Toronto’s best homestyle-based and handcrafted artisan bakeries, and they serve up amazing mouth-watering cakes, pies, cookies, bars, artisan bread, and prepared specialty food options. I always get the blueberry pie and huge brioche in my good-to-go order. Their Roncy Queen West location is the OG spot, but they’ve now got three more locations across the city! Mabel’s, 1156 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1J5, (647) 748-4700 6. Mofer Coffee – Birthplace of Coffee Can’t get enough of coffee? You can enjoy this Ethiopian store, a newly opened high ceiling café

15 Things To Do When You Visit Sydney

All my life I wanted to visit Australia, and finally my dream came true and I couldn’t be any happier! [Sydney, Australia] If you are traveling to Sydney with a Canadian Passport, the best way to go would be to get an eVisa or ETA through Sherpa. It will save you a lot of time and cuts the inconvenience of embassy visits. Sydney was on my bucket list for a long time and I was not disappointed despite having such high hopes. I am including a list of things you should definitely try while you discover Sydney along with a few personal Sydney travel hacks. 1. Get an Opal Card The first travel hack for Sydney would be to get an Opal card. Sydney has an amazing bus and train system which can both be operated via the Opal card. All you need to do is load money onto your card and tap it while getting onto any bus or train and simply tap while getting off. 2. Circular Quay: Central Location Circular Quay is the central location if you want to catch the train or bus to any place in the city. If you are fond of nature, you might prefer walking around the river or strolling over to the Royal Botanical Garden in the evening and watching the sunset. 3. Royal Botanical Garden & Mrs. Macquarie’s Point Best sport to watch the Sydney sunset at Mrs. Macquarie’s point to the Royal Botanical Garden. Walking around the river, look over the international cruises that are arriving and departing at this point. Listed below are some of the top activities for anyone visiting Sydney and my personal Sydney Highlights. 4. Bridge Climb Sydney If you are looking for an adventurous activity, climb Harbour Bridge from Bridge Climb in Sydney. The entire climb is approximately 1300 steps and would take an average person almost 2.5 hours to get to the top. Once at the top, you can view the entire city and marvel at its beauty. Recommended Hotel Sydney, Australia – W Sydney 5. Sydney Opera House If you have read about Sydney, you have most likely come across recommendations to visit the Opera House. Explore The Blue Mountains If you want to enjoy some scenic views, take Anderson’s Tours’ tour of the Blue Mountains and explore the area of Leura and Katoomba. 7. Three Sisters The Three Sisters. If you want to enjoy a view of the entire valley, head on towards the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point. From there you can take the 900-step giant staircase all the way to the valley floor and explore the valley on foot. You can also visit Jenolan caves and walk around Jamison valley to appreciate natural beauty. 8. The railway coils steeply into the rainforest and through the entire valley. The view throughout the ride is breathtaking and fascinating as it is steep and stunning at the same time. At the end of the train ride, you can either take a walk through the rainforest or you can opt for a cable-car ride on the Scenic Cableway on the way back to the visitor’s center. 9. The full of life and night view is great. 15. Sydney Airport – Virgin Australia Head Back: Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport is Australia’s busiest airport. I flew with Virgin Australia, it’s lovely airlines, great food, comfortable seats, and a friendly crew. The airport is 9km away from the CBD, city center and connected with the Suburban railway line. If you have an afternoon or late night flight you can enjoy the food at the airport, it’s overpriced, kinda worth it though! Australia has never-ending options of things to do. Now that it’s summertime November 2019 to April 2020, you can find lots of free events throughout the city. Discover Rome: 8 Fun Places in the Oldest Modern City in the World

It is no secret that Rome is one of the most sought after holiday and tourist destinations in all of Europe. When you come to Rome, adventure is bound to follow. With centuries of history nestled in its streets, Rome is an excellent choice for history buffs to travel geeks to honeymooners alike. You can roam the cobblestoned streets, visit the iconic Colosseum and Pantheon or explore the Vatican City, Rome has an adventure waiting for everyone. Let’s start discover ing rome.  I visited Rome recently and the best part about the travel plans is that Canadian citizens can travel without a visa, fuss-free. There are amazing accommodation options ranging from hotels to hostels and even Air BnBs, just make sure that they are situated near train stations so that you can save up on cab fare. I stayed at the Hotel Cherubini which was right next to the station and was recommended by a local. 1. The Colosseum Begin your exciting day by visiting the most interesting and most famous ancient Roman site in the city, the Colosseum, where the ancient gladiators fought for glory and greatness. As one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, it is a must-visit for anyone wanting to soak in a piece of human history. The tickets are only 12 EUR per person which is pretty reasonable given some of the insane prices in other historical sites. 2. The Trevi Fountain The second stop on your “travel to Rome” list should be visiting the Trevi Fountain, it is a gorgeous 18th-century fountain that is rumored to send good luck to people who throw a coin in it, granted that it’s thrown with your right hand over your left shoulder. Tourists swarm to the foundation to fulfill this age-old tradition and while it may seem silly to some, I enjoyed it immensely. 3. The Spanish Steps Another one of the iconic Roman sites is the Spanish Steps, constructed to connect the hilltop Trinità dei Monti church with the Piazza di Spagna. The steps are great for people watching or getting cool pictures for the ‘gram. As with most historical Roman sites, the influence of Catholic Christianity is unmistakable but Rome has an old-school charm to it that no other modern city can ever come close to. 4. The Nightlife, Wine & Food – Pantheon Once you’re done with these major sites, if you’re looking for a night out, Rome has one of the most exciting nightlife. Enjoy the excellent wine, the phenomenal food, and dance your heart out in the clubs. The locals in Rome are used to tourists trapezing around the city and pay no mind to their antics. In fact, they mingle with foreigners and always offer their tips and tricks to moving in the city safely. 5. Vatican City – St Peter’s Basilica Visit St Peter’s Basilica, located in the Vatican City, is considered one of the Catholic Church’s holiest temples and an important pilgrimage site. Required dress code applies to both men and women and essentially comes down to ensuring that your knees and shoulders are covered. Book your ticket online to skip the line. This tour is dedicated to the appreciation of traditional architecture, with a view to increasing the appetite for architectural revival, old and new buildings in a traditionalist style.  You can get to the top of  Michelangelo’s dome to get the whole view of St. Peter’s Square and Vatican City.  6. Piazza Venezia – Main Square The infamous Piazza Venezia is on the route and the building known locally as the “Wedding Cake”.  You can actually go to the top of the Altare Della Patria and take shots from there too. Costs 10 euro a person for them to let you get up there though. The photo’s taken from Piazza Venezia but that’s mostly a picture of the Altare Della Patria.     7. Christian Catacombs Travel deeper and explore more in Rome about Roman Catacombs. Take the underground tour to learn about Jewish and Christian culture, their life, death, and miracle are preserved in the underground cemeteries of Rome. 8. Roman Forum & Palatine Hill  All in all, I had an amazing and unforgettable time in Rome. The people, the places, the food, and the wine make Rome an excellent choice for everyone and every age. However, every travel addict dreams to travel to Rome and absorb the centuries of history present in its streets and I was lucky enough to have this opportunity. I had the lovely opportunity to visit Rome with a travel group called G Adventures, it was phenomenal with fellow international travelers and I highly recommend it to everyone for its budget-friendly options and services. Rome has never-ending options of things to do, places, culture and ancient landscapes. In summertime, you can find lots of free events throughout the city. I’m sure with a simple google search you can find tons of blogs mentioning things to do in Rome or any other city in Italy but nothing could ever compare with my personalized experience that I tailored my trip with G adventures to get the best-valued experience.
